Dual - path Wide - voltage Power Supply

Product Case
The facilities management department of a university had issues with the dispersed energy data collection in the campus: classrooms, dormitory buildings, laboratories and administration buildings used a combination of smart meters, power sensors and older energy monitoring systems with various connection needs.
The remote locations such as lighting stations at the countryside and other auxiliary facilities could not get connected to the wired networks, and the existing routers did not manage to bring together all the devices into one monitoring system, a disconnected usage awareness and a poor distribution of resources.
The TR-245 Industrial Router by Tespro addressed it via its flexible connectivity functionality. It has 5 Ethernet ports, 1 RS232 and 1 RS485 interface which easily supported both modern IoT sensors as well as old fashioned 485 energy transformers.
Its dual cellular 4G/5G and dual-band WiFi (2.4G/5G) allowed it to have connection to areas that were not connected well, thus avoiding the expensive wiring expansion to support their connection.
The two-layer SIM Card slot of the router provided continuity of data transmission whereby upon failure of the main connection, it would automatically redirect to a backup connection. It supports the major energy protocols and thus, it easily got into the university central management platform, to unify all the campus facilities data into a single dashboard.
Reverse polarity protection and disconnection detection made the device less prone to servicing; and due to its smaller size, the device could be easily installed in diverse areas--ranging between utility closets to outdoors equipment enclosures.
In the case of the university, the TR-245 has made campus energy monitoring a unified and effective system. It has given visibility into real-time energy consumption of all the facilities which allowed data-led decisions to minimize waste and optimism resource allocation without the tediousness of keeping up with numerous dedicated networking devices.
