A field service team for an energy auditing firm faced unique challenges when collecting data from meters in commercial buildings: many electricity and thermal meters were installed in tight corners, angled surfaces, or high-up locations, with flat but non-magnetic exteriors. Standard clamping fixtures struggled to secure properly on uneven or sloped surfaces, and aligning probes with pulse ports required awkward positioning—leading to unstable data capture and extended service times.​

Tespro’s TP-GS3 Optical Probe Fixture resolved these issues with its suction-based design. The fixture uses adjustable suction cups to attach firmly to any flat meter surface , creating a secure hold even on angled or elevated installations—no tools or makeshift fixes needed. The nut-adjustable suction force ensures stability without damaging the meter, while disassembly is quick and hassle-free.​

The TP-GS3’s 360° rotation capability added critical flexibility: technicians could swivel the attached probe to align perfectly with pulse or communication ports, regardless of the meter’s orientation. It supports all TP-series optoelectronic heads and works with mechanical, electronic, square, and cylindrical  meters, eliminating the need for specialized fixtures.​

Made of lightweight insulation material, the TP-GS3 is easy to carry and operate in cramped spaces or when working at height. For meters in complex installation positions, it delivered reliable, convenient data capture—streamlining the auditing process and ensuring consistent results without compromising safety or efficiency.​
