A major African energy utility faced challenges with fragmented data collection—its field teams used a mix of tablets, PDAs, and laptops, while legacy meters lacked unified connectivity. Seeking a versatile solution to streamline electricity and thermal meter data capture, the company turned to Tespro’s TP-PDA series optical probes.​

The TP-PDA excels in versatility, featuring RS232/USB/Type-C interfaces and terminal adaptability that ensures seamless integration with the client's existing hardware infrastructure. Its innovative magnetic attachment mechanism allows for tool-free, rapid installation on meters, eliminating the need for complex setups. Coupled with a 2-meter standard cable for enhanced on-site maneuverability, the device offers true plug-and-play functionality. With data transmission speeds reaching up to 115200bps, technicians can conduct accurate readings swiftly, streamlining the entire process without technical hurdles.​

The utility deployed 500 TP-PDA probes across urban and rural areas.
