Case

Product Case

A mixed-use commercial campus encompassing offices, retail spaces, and residential buildings faced significant challenges in consolidating energy data. With dozens of disparate meters, sensors, and legacy monitoring systems spread across the sprawling site, the facility management team struggled with inconsistent data capture, incompatible device connections, and delays in accessing actionable insights for energy conservation. Remote areas of the campus also suffered from spotty network coverage, leading to gaps in real-time monitoring.

The TG-324 Intelligent Edge Computing Gateway addressed these issues comprehensively. Its support for 2G/3G/4G/5G networks ensured reliable connectivity even in low-coverage zones, while its rich interface suite—including dual Ethernet ports, two RS485 interfaces, an RS232 port, and GPIO inputs/outputs—seamlessly integrated with the campus’s diverse range of energy monitoring devices. Built on OpenWrt/LEDE, the gateway allowed the team to develop custom data collection logic tailored to different building types, and its IP65 protection rating ensured durability in both indoor and semi-outdoor installations.

Now, the campus operates with a centralized energy data platform that delivers consistent, real-time insights across all spaces. The TG-324’s flexible integration has eliminated device incompatibility issues, while its stable connectivity and customizable data workflows have streamlined energy monitoring and optimization efforts. The gateway’s industrial-grade reliability and adaptability have made it a cornerstone of the campus’s sustainable energy management strategy.
